Hi! This weekend I traveled to my hometown for our first baby shower and I had such a blast! My hosts made it a winter theme, which is also going to be the theme of her nursery, with frosted pinecones, rosé and white “snow”. My sweet friend from high school made the décor BY HAND (she’s a teacher, but I think she could easily do events as a career with her creativity) so if you want to replicate this theme, it’s completely possible! Take a look at the pictures below for inspo and my outfit details!
Since the drive was long, I had plenty of time to think about my endless to-do list but, even better, I had time to think about how excited I am for Emmett to get here. She’s not even out in the real world yet and she already has so many friends and family that love her immensely – how awesome is that???! Then, there’s the fact that I get to watch my husband be the best girl dad around. No seriously, he was jamming to Taylor Swift in the car today and I can already see a million and one jam sessions happening with him and Emmett. I don’t cry often, but I’m sure that’ll push me to tears plenty! There are just countless memories to be made and things to learn and I really can’t help but be ecstatic about all of it.
I’m leaving y’all with a quote that made me both chuckle and cry silent tears because it sums up what I have coming towards me like a freight train in March.
Having children is like living in a frat house – nobody sleeps, everything’s broken and there’s a lot of throwing up.
