Weekend Recap

My dream came true for the THIRD time in my life – I got to see Shania Twain in concert! I’ve listened to her (along with 9 billion other women in their 20’s) since I was a little girl, and she is religiously my go-to when I have a bad day/great day/date night/morning coffee/a shower/a road trip. She is doing her NOW Tour country-wide right now and came to Texas last week. I got to kinda’ stalk the concert through Texas because I had some friends post about the concert in every city she hit.

My girls and I decided to meet a bit earlier and grab dranks/apps before the concert. Parking was a nightmare around the Toyota Center, so I ended up parking in a garage that I religiously go to when there is just too much chaos (it’s on Fannin and Polk if ya need a garage downtown!). After visiting a couple places that were way too busy, we decided on a sports bar called Tejas Grill further away (service was okaaay, drinks were decent, food was your regular ol’ American food).

The concert was amazing, and by amazing I mean that allllll the happy tears were streaming down my face as soon as she came out (I’m not crying, YOU’RE CRYING). She played a good mix of songs from her newest album, Now, and ones from her older albums that everybody knows and loves. She did some creative things with her visuals on stage and even showed some throwback music videos on a huge screen.

Obviously I had the time of my life, and I would definitely say that if you haven’t seen her, you should!
